I note the LS-600 incorporates a DX Code reader. Does this just reads frame numbers or does it actually assist in colour balance and orange mask removal by matching each specific film stock to an internal database?

The scanner does apply color balance corrections based on the film’s barcode from a database.

You can manually edit and add to this database with EZ Controller.
